Mangrove Tour by Traditional Boat

IMG_4219-minThe mangrove forests on the north of Nusa Lembongan Island are an area of nar=tural beauty and can be explored by local boat which is “punted” along with a long bamboo lope (by the Captain). When you enter the mangroves you’ll be amazed by the quiet and calm as you weave your way through the network of natural water ways through the trees. Brightly coloured ceremonies are a part of daily life in Nusa Lembongan and the local people are very welcoming when it comes to visitors tagging along. There are a couple of rules of etiquette than need to be observed such as ladies covering their shoulders and everyone must wear a sarong out of respect. The biggest ceremonies are during Galungan and Kuningan and also for cremations. Smaller ceremonies are held for the full moon, new moon, for blessings and for the temples.
